Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace or draw on the design.
  3. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, stroke in the petals with SC-24 Dandelion, 1 coat, then on the second coat, load the brush with SC-24 Dandelion and tip with SC-88 Tu Tu Tango, for deeper colors, use a third coat.
  4. Using a CB110 #10/0 Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-24 Dandelion to the chest and beak of the bird, SC-31 The Blues to the back and head, add SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the tail area and under the eye.
  5. Apply some SC-16 Cotton Tail to the background; up to the flowers and birds, this will whiten the background. Allow to dry.
  6. Use SG-403 Red Designer Liner to outline the petals and dot center area, use SG-406 Brown Designer Liner to line the branches, and use SG-401 Black Designer Liner to accent the branches and outline the birds. Allow to dry.
  7. Using a CB-404 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 generous coats of SW-001 Stoneware Clear to this area.
  8. Using the X10124 Easy Suction Adapter to fill the Xiem X10064 Precision Applicator with SW-304 Copper Wash.
  9. Use the white applicator tip (17 gauge) on the Xiem X10064 Precision Applicator  to make inverted loops of SW-304 Copper Wash, only one row starting at the top rim on the outside edge of the Augraitin Dish. Make large loops on the flat edge of the dish, and make smaller loops on the narrow edge of the dish.
  10. Place a AC-224 Plastic Detailer Cap on the SC-74 Hot Tamale bottle and dot under the loops on the outside of dish and dot the red on the inside of the dish under the copper loop, touch the loop with the red.
  11. Dot SC-93 Honeydew List on the spaces that are left. Allow to dry.
  12. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SW-113 Speckled Plum, to the outside, and inside wall, and the top ledge, of the dish.
  13. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 SW-250 White Opal to the inside of wall of the dish, and brush SW-113 Speckled Plum to the top ledge and outside wall for the third coat of SW-113 Speckled Plum.
  14. With a damp sponge, wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of dish.
  15. Fire to shelf cone 5/6.  Medium Speed.
